CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

"These words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Children are important members of the family at Bethel. At Bethel we seek to come alongside parents as they raise their children in the Lord. This involves helping teach the children the Bible, giving them opportunities to serve others, and equipping parents as they nurture their children's faith. SUNDAY SCHOOL

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 am, we have classes for all ages. Children will learn the Bible in age-appropriate classes from teachers who love Jesus and love children. We use The Gospel Project curriculum to go through the Bible once every four years. Sunday School classes do not meet during the summer months. They resume each school year on the Sunday after Labor Day.

CHILDREN'S MESSAGE

Once children have participated in the first elements of the worship service, there is a children's message where children are invited forward for a special age-appropriate teaching time. There are no children's messages on the first Sunday of the month, when we celebrate the Lord's Supper.

NURSERY

After the Children's Message, children up through Kindergarten are welcome to go to the Nursery. Children may also remain in the worship service, if their parents so desire.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Every summer at Bethel, we have a week-long Vacation Bible School program that provides an intensive time for children to learn the Bible, sing songs, play games, and do crafts together.

YOUTH & FAMILY NIGHTS

Children in preschool and elementary grades meet for three consecutive Sunday evenings in the fall and spring for a Bible story, craft, games, and snack. The children's group also practices a song or play to be shared with the congregation at Christmas and Easter. The middle school and high school youth group also meets during these times to discuss the same Bible story in more depth.
